5 Things to Check Out While You’re in Dallas
1. Take the family to Six Flags
In past events, many AVEVA employees and customers have taken advantage of the travel schedule by adding a few days of vacation that the whole family can enjoy.
Just 15 miles west of Dallas, Six Flags Over Texas features over 35 thrilling rides and attractions, exciting shows, concerts, and special events. The park spans 212 acres of lush landscape home to more than 150,000 flowers and plants. Popular attractions include the New Texas Giant, Batman: The Ride, and for those daring enough, the Texas SkyScreamer–the world’s tallest swing carousel ride.

2. See the Sixth Floor Museum
As exhilarating as it is educational, The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza chronicles the life and death of President John F. Kennedy. The museum itself is located in the former Texas School Book Depository building, where Lee Harvey Oswald’s rifle was found following the assassination of President Kennedy. Highlights of the ‘60’s themed exhibit include a sniper’s perch, the FBI model used by the Warren Commission, Oswald’s wedding ring, historic films, photos, and lots more. Due to high demand, we recommend purchasing tickets in advance at jfk.org.
