How Promon Engenharia went from simulation training to results in less than one day

AVEVA™ Process Simulation

Promon Engenharia, a major Brazilian EPC, was an early adopter of AVEVA™ Process Simulation. During their first day of training, the engineering team was distracted by a last-minute request from an important customer: run 112 scenarios and deliver the results by 5 PM! This would be an impossible task with a typical process simulator, but the team recognized this as an opportunity to use the next-generation features of AVEVA Process Simulation. With just a few hours of training, they built the model, ran the scenarios, and delivered trustworthy results to a grateful client. This same task would have typically taken three times the time to complete using a conventional simulator.

Watch this webinar to hear this true success story from the engineers who achieved it.

During this webinar, we will:

  • Share the Promon story about their first experience with AVEVA Process Simulation
  • Demonstrate how AVEVA Process Simulation is easy to learn and easy to use
  • Show how AVEVA Process Simulation can be used to evaluate multiple scenarios rapidly

THREE REASONS TO ATTEND:

  • Hear how Promon could learn AVEVA Process Simulation and deliver a 112-scenario study in just one day
  • Understand why AVEVA Process Simulation can achieve this when other simulators cannot
  • See how AVEVA Process Simulation's groundbreaking ease-of-use accelerates engineering.

Duration: One hour

Tatiane Fernandes C. Souza

Chemical Process Engineer

Tatiane Fernandes C. Souza is a chemical process engineer with around 9 years of experience working with engineering projects for different sectors of industry such as chemical, oil and gas, food & beverage, and pharmaceutical. She holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Universidade de São Paulo, a M.Sc. Degree from the same University focusing on process simulation, and a master’s degree in engineering from the Ecole Centrale de Lille. She started her career at Promon Engenharia in Brazil, where she worked as a process engineer and participated in projects from A to Z, from concept and process simulation design to detail engineering and handover. Currently, she works as an engineering consultant for Intico in Belgium and supports companies in the development of new processes and projects.

Mauricio Kenji Arakaki

Engineering Manager, Promon Engenharia

Mauricio Kenji Arakaki is Engineering Manager at Promon Engenharia. He holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Universidade de São Paulo. He started as a process engineer working on projects for various sectors of the economy such as energy, petrochemicals, mining, renewables and oil and gas. For more than 15 years at the company, he held positions of supervision, coordination and project management. Because he acts in all phases of the project, he focuses on the integration of tools and processes so that the digital asset starts in the process simulation, goes through the detailed engineering phase and has gains for the customer after the plant start-up.
